Belly Bumps!!

As you may or may not have heard, we are pregnant with #3!! Yes, read it again, #3!
We had our 16 week belly check today and so far so good. Heartbeat was 160(is that in the girl range??), my weight stayed the same(thanks to a weekend bout with the flu!) and all other vitals were normal. I was initially very tired and have caught every cold/flu bug that comes to town but now I have more energy, am able to workout again and love the belly bump. Our due date is July 6th. Doing the math? Yes, we will have 3 under 3.
One of the great joys with this pregnancy is sharing it with my friends and family. I have two close friends(3 until last weeks delivery) that are pregnant and due within the same month and one sister in law due 2 months later. What a beautiful things to share!!
For about a month we have been talking to Connor about hearing the heartbeat and how they do that. For this appt. we took him along to have some special time and let him hold the monitor that finds the heartbeat. He did a great job and kissed and hugged my belly the whole time. His exact words when he finally found it, "It sounds like a fire truck mommy". Oh the imagination on this one!!
YA for big brothers!!

Winter Fun

We have spent the majority of the past week inside due to the unbearable weather and although at times it was cramped, we have had some fun times. The boys are up to about 20 minutes of occuppying each other without me around-how awesome is that!! Liam can be found most days carrying a hockey stick around ready to hit the next object he sees on the floor(hopefully thats not Connors head!). His love for climbing is beginning to get him in trouble as he squeezes toothpaste all over the counter, puts unopened mail from the counter in the trash and pull off keyboard pieces letter by letter. Much to Dan's relief, Connor is really getting into skating. He and Dan share special time Wednesday evenings at a local rink for one hour of skating. He can walk on the ice and just last week pushed a chair around all by himself. We also have been visiting the pond down the road more frequently for some good old fashioned sledding and outdoor skating.
Stay Warm!!

The trip heard round the world!!

1. Anna pulling Liam on the ice rink. 2. Liam with his "were the same size" six mo. cousin.

3. Connor cleaning the ice with his remote zamboni. 4. Slurping his cereal like a pro!!

5. Connor's highlight of the trip: Working with Daddy T in the garage on several projects.

6. Connor showing me he can walk in his skates.

We are still recovering from our lengthy trip to Omaha: the piles of laundry, the sleep deprivation...oh, it never ends. As I begin looking through pictures, videos and gifts from our trip I am overwhelmed with emotion. We literally "moved in" with my parents which meant we woke up, ate every meal and did most day to day things with them for 2 weeks. Dan and I both cherish this time because our boys get constant time with Grandma and Daddy T to make great memories. Connor was busy most days playing with cousins, having sleep overs or skating on the rink. He totally engulfed the idea of Santa and his reindeer which made Christmas morning magical for everyone. Liam seemed to forget his "mommy attachment" and played with the kids, sat with gma for book after book and spent mornings with her while Dan and I slept.

Every year my dad floods our backyard, and has recently taken up hockey at age 55!, so several nights there were groups of friends, family members or teammates out skating until all hours of the night. My brother Daniel was also staying with my parents and my sisters were frequent visitors with their kids so the house was always busy with happenings but thats what made the trip so fun.

As always, it breaks my heart to get in the car and drive away from my parents house but the memories we take away with us each time help us look forward to the next time we get to go home and spend that quality time with them(which, might I add, is in mid February!!).
