This past weekend the "D-Unit"(that is what Dan, Mary and I have titled ourselves) decided to hop in the car and head to Omaha. My dad joined a hockey league at age 54 and was set to star in his first game...cue the D-Unit showing up! We drove all night, with two kids sleeping, and got to sun bath, visit the children's museum, golf(dan) and of course, cheer on my dad in his game. He had 4 shots on goal, no penalties and stayed on his skates the whole time. He did great!!! The drive was exhausting but as a unit, the D-Unit(said in a deep, "Run DMC" voice), we have no regrets.
